Job summary

MRD is seeking a QA/QC professional to uphold ISO 9001 and IATF 16949. You will lead investigations into customer complaints and implement CAPAs using 8D and 5-Why methods. The role covers supplier quality management, PPAP submissions, and NPI support. Travel may be required.

You should have a degree in mechanical or related engineering and at least 3 years in QA/QC within manufacturing, ideally automotive, with strong knowledge of quality tools and metrics.

Qualifications

• Degree required in mechanical/quality-related field with at least 3 years in QA/QC in manufacturing (automotive preferred).
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, PPAP, Control Plans and core quality tools (8D, 5-Why, SPC).
• Willingness to travel for customer and vendor visits.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and uphold QMS standards, acting as Management Representative for ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
• Lead customer complaint investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions using 8D and 5-Why methodologies.
• Manage Supplier Quality, vendor evaluations, and returned goods (RMA) control.
• Prepare PPAP submissions, Control Plans, and inspection setups to support New Product Introduction (NPI).
• Monitor quality metrics (Cost of Poor Quality, scrap rates, warranty claims) and drive continuous improvement toward a Zero-Defect culture.
• Host 3rd-party, customer, and internal quality audits.

Requirements:

• Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or equivalent technical field.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant QA/QC experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive sector preferred).
• Technical Knowledge: Strong background in IATF 16949, ISO 9001, PPAP, Control Plans, and core quality tools (8D, 5-Why, SPC).
• Travel: Willing to travel occasionally for customer and vendor visits.
