Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a QA/QC professional to manage and monitor quality activities on construction sites, focusing on MEP and CSA works. You will ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and method statements, while maintaining documentation such as ITPs and QA/QC records.

The role requires site inspections, coordination with consultants and contractors, and handling Testing & Commissioning activities for MEP systems. Travel to sites may be needed. Contract length is 4 months.

Qualifications

• QA/QC experience in construction, preferably MEP/CSA.
• Familiar with drawings, specs, ITPs and QA/QC docs.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor QA/QC activities for MEP and CSA works at construction sites.
• Ensure all works follow approved drawings, specs, method statements and project requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workmanship meets quality standards.
• Prepare, review and maintain QA/QC documentation including ITPs, checklists and quality records.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors and site teams on QA/QC matters.
• Monitor Testing & Commissioning activities for MEP systems and ensure timely closure of issues.
• Coordinate inspections, testing and handover documentation with relevant parties.
• Identify potential quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Work with the Project Manager and other departments to achieve quality goals.
• Perform other QA/QC duties as assigned.

• Manage and monitor QA/QC activities for MEP and CSA works at construction sites.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workmanship and installation meet the required quality standards.
• Prepare, review and maintain QA/QC documentation, including Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), checklists, inspection requests and quality records.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors and site teams on quality-related matters.
• Monitor and follow up on Testing & Commissioning (T&C) activities for MEP systems.
• Coordinate inspections, testing and commissioning with relevant parties and ensure all outstanding issues are properly rectified.
• Prepare and manage testing, commissioning and handover/turnover documentation.
• Monitor project defects, non-conformance reports (NCR), corrective actions and ensure timely closure.
• Conduct quality inspections for materials, equipment and installation works delivered to site.
• Ensure all project documentation and quality records are properly maintained and ready for project handover.
• Assist in final inspection, defect rectification and project turnover/handover to the client.
• Identify potential quality issues and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Work closely with the Project Manager, Site Team and other departments to ensure project quality requirements are achieved.
• Perform other QA/QC duties as assigned by the Management.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of QA/QC experience in the construction industry, preferably in MEP and CSA works.
• Experience in MEP works, CSA works, Testing & Commissioning (T&C), and project handover/turnover.
• Familiar with construction drawings, specifications, inspection procedures and QA/QC documentation.
• Strong knowledge of construction quality standards and site inspection practices.
• Able to coordinate effectively with consultants, contractors, subcontractors and internal project teams.
• Strong documentation, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work on site and travel when required.
