Job summary

IJM Corporation Berhad is seeking a Senior QA/QC Engineer to implement and maintain PQMS, coordinate QA/QC for CSA/MEP works, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 on Elmina Selangor construction sites.

You will review ITPs, NCRs and QA/QC records, conduct daily site inspections and support audits, aiming for timely handover and continuous improvement across the project team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in civil/MEP/construction management or related field.
• Minimum 4 years QA/QC experience in building construction.
• Familiar with ISO 9001 and QMS.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain PQMS per project specs, ISO standards and client requirements.
• Coordinate and monitor QA/QC activities for CSA or MEP works across all construction phases.
• Conduct inspections, witness testing, verify works compliant with drawings, specs, ITPs and method statements.
• Prepare, review and maintain QA/QC docs: ITPs, approvals, NCRs, RFIs, quality reports.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors to resolve quality issues and close NCRs on time.
• Monitor incoming materials/equipment for spec compliance.
• Perform daily site quality inspections and generate quality performance reports (daily/weekly/monthly).
• Support internal/external quality audits and ISO 9001 compliance.
• Participate in testing/commissioning ensuring docs and inspections are complete before handover.
• Promote quality awareness and continuous improvement across project team.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.

• Min 4 years of QA/QC experience in building construction projects.

• Candidates with relevant experience may be considered for Assistant Manager or Senior Engineer level.

• Experience in Data Center construction projects will be a strong advantage.

• Good knowledge of QA/QC procedures, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), material inspections, NCR management and quality documentation.

• Familiar with ISO 9001, Quality Management Systems (QMS) and relevant construction quality standards.

• Strong problem-solving, communication and documentation skills.

• Able to work independently in a fast-paced and site-based environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems.

• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

• Based at Elmina Selangor
