Job summary

BELTIUM CONTRUCTION SDN BHD is seeking a qualified QA/QC professional to manage quality assurance and control on road and infrastructure projects.

You will plan internal audits, supervise on-site QA/QC activities, and ensure compliance with project and regulatory standards. Strong ability to work under pressure and coordinate with engineers and consultants is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of strong work experience with roads & infrastructure projects.
• Possess ability to work under pressure, tight schedules and stringent environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage/control QA/QC according to Inspection Test Plan & Project Quality Plan.
• Verify QA/QC systems by planning internal audits and site inspections.
• Ensure compliance with Quality, HSE and local authority requirements on site.
• Plan and control QA/QC works with project engineers & consultants.
• Review subcontractor documents like QP, Method Statements, KPIs.

• To manage/control the QAQC according to Inspection Test Plan & Project Quality Plan.
• Verify the implementation and operation of the quality assurance and control systems, by planning and conducting internal quality audits and inspection activities on site offices;
• Ensure implementation and continuous improvement in overall Quality Systems;
• Ensure all the contractual /company and local authority requirements for Quality, Health Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements are complied with;
• Plan and control project QAQC works;
• Work with project engineers & design consultants for establishing procedures with time limits for the inspection, sampling and testing of works and all other QAQC requirements;
• Liaise with end users, customers, suppliers, subcontractors for QAQC related issues;
• Report and rectify QA findings;
• Advise sub-contractor on client’s QA/QC requirements to ensure Contractor commitment and compliance is in line with client’s site-specific quality requirements and procedures.
• Review sub-contractor documents such as Project Quality Plan, Method Statements, KPIs, etc.
• Assess construction and installation methods of construction and ensure that QA/QC procedures are adequately implemented.
• Conduct formal site QA/QC inspections and ensure recommended remedial actions are closed and reports are submitted to the client.
• Audit Project Quality Plan, QA/QC Procedures, site activities and submit report to the client and follow-up on remedial actions implemented by sub-contractor.
• Attend QA/QC meetings with contractor, and weekly progress meetings if required
• Make sure that any non-conformity has been reported through a Non-Conformance Report.
• Experience with JKR projects is an added advantage.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related fields;
• Minimum 5 years of strong work experience with roads & infrastructure projects.
• Slope, road and bridge experience will be an added advantage preferably with JKR project.
• Positive attitude, highly initiative and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Possess ability to work under pressure, tight schedules and in stringent environment.
• At least 10 years and above of working experience in construction field
