Job summary

IOT Manufacturing in Malaysia seeks a meticulous QA Technician to safeguard quality across FATP operations for automotive GPS tracker products. You will perform IPQC inspections, verify critical parameters, and ensure end-to-end traceability of serial numbers, IMEI and MAC addresses.

The role requires 1–2 years in QA/QC within electronics manufacturing, hands-on use of torque testers, calipers, multimeters, barcode scanners and ESD stations, and IPC-A-610 familiarity.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 1–2 years of QA/QC experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Prior exposure to FATP assembly, automotive electronics, or GPS tracker products is advantageous.
• Familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards and ESD control.

Responsibilities

• IPQC: conduct routine patrol audits and final assembly inspections—verify torque levels, housing fitment, label accuracy, and cosmetic perfection.
• Functional & Traceability checks: verify production testing results and 100% serial number/IMEI/MAC address traceability.
• OQC: perform pre-shipment sampling based on AQL plans, verify packaging and regulatory markings.
• Defect containment & rework: identify, document, quarantine NCRs; re-inspect and re-test repaired assemblies.
• Quality auditing & reporting: conduct ESD and process audits; maintain yield reports and daily quality logs in MES/ERP.

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive QA Technician to safeguard quality across our Final Assembly, Test, and Packaging (FATP) operations for automotive GPS tracker products. What You Will Do

In-Process & Final Inspection (IPQC): Conduct routine patrol audits and perform comprehensive final assembly inspections—verifying torque levels, housing fitment, label accuracy, and cosmetic perfection.

Functional & Traceability Checks: Verify production testing results (power-on, FCT, GPS/GSM signal, Bluetooth, battery/charging status, and firmware) while ensuring 100% serial number, IMEI, and MAC address traceability.

Outgoing Quality Assurance (OQC): Perform pre-shipment sampling based on AQL plans, verifying packaging integrity, accessories, and regulatory markings to assure zero customer escapes.

Defect Containment & Rework Verification: Identify, document, and quarantine non-conforming units (NCR); re-inspect and re-test all repaired assemblies before release.

Quality Auditing & Reporting: Conduct ESD and process audits while maintaining accurate yield reports, FPY tracking, and daily quality logs in MES/ERP systems.

What We Are Looking For

Education: Certificate or Diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: 1 to 2 years of QA/QC experience in electronics manufacturing. Prior exposure to FATP assembly, automotive electronics, or GPS tracker products is highly advantageous.

Tool & Equipment Skills: Hands-on experience using torque testers, digital calipers, multimeters, barcode scanners, and ESD test stations.

Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards, ESD control, basic IATF 16949 requirements, and MS Excel for daily quality logging.

Work Style: Sharp analytical skills, high attention to detail, and the agility to work comfortably in a fast-paced production setting.
