Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a QA professional in Ipoh, Malaysia to prepare inspection drawings and coordinate first article inspections for new and improved products. The role involves testing per standards and customer requirements, interpreting results, and reporting for approval.

You will monitor QA test room cleanliness, maintain test equipment, and lead calibration efforts while investigating customer complaints to drive quality improvements and daily QC reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/PG diploma in Engineering (Mechanical) or related field.
• 2+ years QA experience in metal fabrication.
• Familiar with ISO 9001, lean manufacturing & QA functions.
• Proficient in CAD tools: AutoCAD, DraftSight, SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or revise inspection drawings for new/improved products per designer drawings.
• Coordinate and verify First Article Inspection and Test for new/improved products.
• Conduct and monitor product testing per standards or customer requirements (e.g., salt spray, endurance).
• Interpret test results and prepare test reports for approval.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in QA test room; ensure equipment maintenance.
• Coordinate calibration for all measurement equipment.
• Initiate investigations on customer complaints; identify root cause and corrective actions.
• Review daily QC inspection reports and defect reports.
• Any other duties as assigned by superior.

Prepare or revise inspection drawing for new products and improved products according to the part drawing provided by the designer.

Coordinate and verify First Article Inspection and Test for new products and improved products.

Conduct and monitor product testing according to the product standard or customer’s requirements which may include salt spray test, performance/endurance test, etc.

Interpret test result and prepare test report for approval.

Ensure the product test room cleanliness and safety standards are maintained

Ensure all the QA test equipment are properly handled and maintained.

Monitor, coordinate and conduct calibration for all measurement equipments.

Initiate investigation on customer complaint, identify the root cause of the problem and propose corrective action for quality control improvement.

Assist in reviewing daily QC inspection report and defective report

Any other duties as assigned by superior

Job Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Metal Fabrication/ Tool & Die/ Welding) or equivalent.

At least 2 years working experience in QA in related metal fabrication industry.

Familiar with QA functions, troubleshooting, statistical techniques, ISO 9001 and lean manufacturing practices.

Proficient in CAD (Auto-CAD, draft-sight) and solid-work.

Preferably Executive specialized in Quality Control/ Assurance or equivalent.

Good command of Mandarin, English, Bahasa Malaysia both in verbal and written is an added advantages.
