Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a QA/QC Engineer for large-scale infrastructure projects. You will implement and monitor the PQP, ITPs and QC procedures, and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with drawings and standards. Coordinate with PMs, engineers, consultants, clients, and subcontractors on quality matters.

The role requires a Diploma in Civil/Electrical Eng and at least 1 year of QA/QC experience. NTSP holder is a plus, and travel to site projects may be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil / Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 1 year QA/QC Engineer experience in large scale infrastructure projects.
• NTSP holder is an added advantage.
• Experience in TNB projects is preferred.
• Good communication and strong problem-solving skills.
• Good report writing skills.
• Willing to travel to other site projects if required.

Responsibilities

• Assist internal and external quality audits and ensure timely closure of findings.

Implement and monitor the Project Quality Plan (PQP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), and quality control procedures throughout the project.

Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure all construction and installation works comply with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and contractual requirements.

Review method statements, shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents prior to commencement of works.

Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, consultants, clients, and subcontractors on all quality-related matters.

Monitor and inspect civil, electrical, and mechanical works including equipment foundations, battery container installation, cable works, electrical equipment installation, testing, and commissioning activities.

Verify materials, equipment, and components delivered to site comply with approved specifications, certificates, and project requirements.

Conduct inspections and witness testing activities to ensure compliance with project quality standards and inspection requirements.

Prepare, maintain, and manage quality documentation including Inspection Requests (IR), Material Inspection Requests (MIR), Inspection & Test Records (ITR), Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), Corrective Action Reports (CAR), test reports, and as-built documentation.

Identify quality issues, defects, and non-conformities, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.

Monitor subcontractor workmanship and ensure all works are carried out according to approved method statements, drawings, and quality procedures.

Coordinate with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors during inspections, audits, and testing activities.

Maintain proper records of inspection reports, test results, calibration certificates, and quality documentation for project handover.

Support internal and external quality audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.

Assist in the preparation of project quality dossiers, completion records, and handover documentation.

Work closely with the HSE team to ensure quality activities are carried out safely and in compliance with project requirements.

Perform any other duties assigned by the Superior.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Diploma in Civil / Electrical Engineering or its related field.

Have 1 year of experience as QA/QC Engineer in large scale infrastructure projects.

NTSP holder is an added advantage.

Have any experience in TNB projects.

Have good communication and strong problem-solving skills.

Have good report writing skills.

Willing to travel to other site projects if required.
