Job summary

See Song & Sons Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a meticulous QA/QC Engineer to support our major marine and civil projects. You will implement quality assurance procedures, conduct inspections, and coordinate with project teams to uphold quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field, has 2–3 years of QA/QC experience in marine projects, and is proficient with ISO 9001 standards. Strong documentation and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quality Management or related field.
• 2-3 years of QA/QC experience in marine related project.
• Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, ISO 9001 and relevant industry codes.
• Experience in preparing QA/QC documentation, inspection test plans and quality reports.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project-specific QA/QC plans, procedures, and inspection test plans (ITPs).
• Conduct inspections and tests of construction work, materials, and equipment to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Monitor subcontractors and suppliers to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
• Review method statements, technical submittals, and material approvals.
• Maintain accurate QA/QC records, reports, and documentation for audits and project handover.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, consultants and client representatives on quality-related matters.
• Identify non-conformances, raise NCRs, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Promote a strong quality and safety culture across the project site.
