Job summary

China Construction Yangtze River (Malaysia) is seeking a QA/QC Supervisor/Engineer to manage project QA/QC documents, coordinate inspections, and ensure compliance with project specifications for civil, architectural, and structural disciplines.

You will develop standards for inspections, review materials, oversee test programs, and collaborate with engineers, contractors, and suppliers to maintain high quality across all systems.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in QA/QC Supervisor/Engineer.
• Familiarity with Malaysia construction standards, design policies, and quality inspection requirements.
• Required languages: English; knowledge of Chinese advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage QA/QC documents of the complete project, including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations.
• Develop and determine all standards to perform inspections and tests on all procedures, oversee testing methods, and maintain high-quality standards.
• Review the quality of all materials at the site, ensure compliance with project specifications and quality, and collaborate with the department for material procurement and quality materials.
• Supervise the effective implementation of all test and inspection schedules, ensure adherence to procedures, and coordinate with teams to perform quality audits.
• Assist employees to ensure knowledge of all quality standards, ensure compliance to all quality manuals and procedures, and coordinate with contractors and suppliers to maintain quality of all systems.
• Manage equipment handling, storage of hazardous materials, and perform quality audits per schedule.
• Monitor an efficient system, record all project activities, and analyze processes to ensure all work meets quality requirements.
• Manage all work methods, maintain knowledge on quality assurance standards, and implement corrective actions for all operations.
• Develop a method statement including risk assessment and JSA and Inspection Test Plan and Checklist based on project specifications.

Accountable for the quality of every activity, with precise knowledge of all aspects of engineering construction relating to Civil, Architecture and Structural discipline interfacing the multidisciplinary processes.

Key responsibilities

Manage QA/QC documents of the complete project, including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered, and other important QA/QC documents

Develop and determine all standards to perform inspections and tests on all procedures, oversee all testing methods, and maintain high-quality standards for all processes

Review the quality of all materials at the site, ensure compliance with all project specifications and quality, and collaborate with the department for all material procurement and quality materials

Supervise the effective implementation of all test and inspection schedules, ensure adherence to all procedures, and coordinate with various teams to perform quality audits on processes

Assist employees to ensure knowledge of all quality standards, ensure compliance to all quality manuals and procedures, and collaborate with contractors and suppliers to maintain the quality of all systems

Manage equipment handling, efficient storage of all hazardous materials, and perform quality audits per the required schedule

Monitor an efficient system, record all project activities, and analyze all processes to ensure all work meets quality requirements

Manage all work methods, maintain knowledge on quality assurance standards, monitor continuous application for all quality assurance processes, and implement corrective actions for all operations

Develop a method statement for the activity including risk assessment and job safety environmental analysis and Inspection Test Plan and Checklist based on specifications of the project

Liaise with the Technical Engineer for submission of material submittals to Consultant and coordinate with the Consultant's representative and Site In-charge for Inspection

About you

Possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural, or a related field

At least 3 years of working experience in QAQC Supervisor / Engineer

Familiarity with Malaysia's construction standards, design policies, and quality inspection requirements

Required languages: English. Knowledge of Chinese is advantageous
