Summary of Duties / Responsibilities:
- Perform daily QA/QC inspections for raw materials, production processes, and finished products.
- Conduct quality checks and testing according to approved procedures, drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Monitor product compliance with applicable standards such as MS, BS, JIS, ASTM, and customer requirements.
- Lead investigations of non-conformities, conduct root cause analysis, and implement CAPA.
- Perform welding and fabrication inspections and conduct/coordinate NDT activities where required.
- Review engineering and detail drawings to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
- Participate in internal audits and support customer/external inspections.
- Monitor calibration status of measuring tools, inspection instruments, and testing equipment.
- Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and control of QA/QC records.
- Coordinate with Production and Engineering teams on quality improvement activities.
- Update and maintain quality documentation including SOPs, checklists, and inspection records.
- Train, guide, and support QA/QC Supervisors, Leaders, and Inspectors to ensure inspections and quality control activities are carried out correctly and consistently.
- Assist QA/QC Manager in implementing and maintaining the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
- Undertake other QA/QC duties assigned by the QA/QC Manager or HOD.
Minimum Qualification, Requirement and Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Preferably 1–2 years of QA/QC experience; fresh graduates may be considered.
- Knowledge of engineering drawings, welding/fabrication inspection, NDT, and quality standards are an advantage.
- Good understanding of ISO 9001, quality control procedures, and testing standards.
- Good communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
