Job summary

PMW Group of Companies is expanding its technical support team in Malaysia. The role focuses on providing site, product, quality and customer-related technical support across projects in concrete and precast industries.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree with 3–5 years of site experience, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret drawings and specifications. Based in Ipoh, the role requires office and field site work with a 6.5-day work week.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 3–5 years of site technical support experience in concrete/precast industries.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical requirements.
  • Good problem-solving, communication, coordination and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for product, site, quality and customer-related issues.
  • Attend to customer technical inquiries, complaints and site issues, and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Conduct site visits, inspections and technical investigations when required.
  • Lead, coordinate and monitor site repair and rectification work to ensure proper repair methods, quality and timely completion.
  • Assess product defects or damage at site and recommend suitable repair methods and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC, Production, Engineering, customers, contractors and relevant parties on technical and repair matters.
  • Investigate product non-conformities and customer complaints, conduct root cause analysis and recommend CAPA.
  • Prepare technical proposals, repair methods/method statements, inspection records and investigation reports.
  • Provide technical guidance on product handling, installation, application, repair and usage.
  • Review relevant drawings, specifications, standards and customer technical requirements.
  • Monitor repair effectiveness and follow up on outstanding site technical issues.
  • Analyse site and customer feedback and recommend product or process improvements.
  • Escalate significant technical or quality issues to management.
  • Support product testing, technical presentations and demonstrations when required.
  • Ensure all technical and site activities comply with company procedures, applicable standards and customer requirements.
  • Perform other related duties assigned by the Plant Manager or QA/QC Manager.
  • Able to independently handle site technical issues and lead repair/rectification activities.

Minimum Qualification, Requirement and Experience:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering/Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in site technical support, preferably in the concrete or precast concrete industry.
  • Good knowledge of concrete products, construction practices, site repair and rectification methods.
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical requirements.
  • Good problem-solving, communication, coordination and report-writing skills.
  • Able to independently handle site technical issues and lead repair/rectification activities.
