Job summary

SH Seng Heng Engineering is seeking a Junior QA Inspector to assist in in-process, final, and incoming material inspections in our manufacturing facility in Klang. You will perform basic visual and dimensional checks under supervision, record results accurately, and help identify non-conforming materials.

You will also prepare inspection reports and support cross-department coordination on quality issues. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; candidates with up to two years of manufacturing

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in a technical field is required.
• Fresh graduates encouraged to apply; up to 2 years' experience welcome.
• Basic knowledge of welding processes and terminology is a plus.
• Understanding of engineering drawings and measurements is needed.
• Familiarity with measuring tools is preferred.
• Willing to learn welding inspection and quality standards.
• Good communication and teamwork in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently after training.
• Computer literacy in MS Office.

1. Assist QC Inspectors in carrying out in-process, final, and incoming material inspections to ensure compliance with quality requirements.

2. Perform basic visual and dimensional inspections under the guidance and supervision of the QC Inspector.

3. Assist in recording inspection results, measurements, and quality records accurately.

4. Support the identification, marking, and segregation of non-conforming materials or products.

5. Prepare inspection reports, checklists, and related quality documentation.

6. Assist in monitoring production activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, procedures, and work instructions.

7. Ensure measuring instruments and inspection tools are properly handled, maintained, and available for inspection activities.

8. Assist in coordinating with Production, Engineering, and other departments to resolve quality-related issues.

9. Maintain good housekeeping and comply with company safety, quality, and environmental requirements.

10. Undertake any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the QC Inspector, QA/QC Executive, or Management from time to time.

Job Requirement / Qualification

1. Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.

2. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with up to 2 years of working experience in manufacturing or steel fabrication are also welcome.

3. Basic knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, GMAW/MIG, FCAW, GTAW/TIG) and welding terminology will be an added advantage.

4. Basic understanding of engineering drawings and dimensional measurements.

5. Familiarity with measuring instruments such as measuring tape, Vernier caliper, steel ruler, and welding gauges is preferred.

6. Willing to learn quality inspection techniques, welding inspection, and applicable quality standards.

7. Good communication, teamwork, and willingness to work in a manufacturing environment.

8. Able to work independently with minimum supervision after training.

9. Computer literate in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
