Job summary

Greatech Integration (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a QA/QC inspector to join the quality team in Batu Kawan, Malaysia. The role focuses on daily quality inspections across vendor incoming, in-process, outgoing inspections and machine buy-off activities.

You will help maintain accurate quality records and support timely issue resolution while ensuring compliance with approved standards and safety requirements. You will assist with incoming inspection at the assembly area and source inspection at vendor

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or a Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field, or 0 to 5 years of relevant QAQC experience.
• 0 to 5 years of hands-on quality inspection experience in sheet metal fabrication and machining.
• Basic understanding of production processes, metalwork and CNC machining drawings.
• Ability to understand drawing tolerances and perform basic tolerance calculations.
• Ability to operate basic measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, pin or block gauges and profile projectors.
• Basic inspection report writing skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow procedures, maintain accurate records and complete assignments within required timelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily quality inspections to ensure specifications and process requirements are met.
• Conduct vendor incoming inspection, in-process inspection, outgoing inspection and machine buy-off activities as assigned.
• Report quality issues to the QA Technician for verification before communicating findings to the production team.
• Assist the QA Technician with incoming inspection at the assembly area and source inspection at vendor sites.
• Complete all daily inspection assignments within the required timeframe.
• Store quality inspection data and reports properly, maintaining traceability and ensuring records can be retrieved when required.
• Support the QA Technician and QA Engineer with quality data collection for the weekly PI report.
• Inspect fabricated sheet metal and machined components using approved methods and measuring instruments.
• Prepare clear and accurate inspection reports and communicate findings to relevant teams.
• Comply with ISO requirements, management-approved standards, safety practices, standard operating procedures, work instructions, policies and company guidelines.
