Job summary

SCJ ENGINEERING (M) SDN. BHD. is seeking a QA Engineer to ensure that our precision CNC parts and sheet metal components meet stringent quality standards and client specifications.

You will oversee QC processes, inspect materials and finished goods, and drive continuous improvement on the production floor. You will perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections against drawings and GD&T, use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMM where applicable, and lead root-cause analysis to

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering with 2–4 years QA/QC experience in precision machining or sheet metal fabrication.
• Proficient in reading engineering drawings/GD&T and using precision measuring tools.
• Knowledge of ISO standards, SOPs, and RCA/CAPA methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of precision-machined parts, sheet metal components, and fabricated automation structures against drawings and blueprints.
• Utilize precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM if applicable) to verify dimensional accuracy and tolerances.
• Monitor shop-floor processes to ensure SOPs and ISO standards are followed.
• Identify and investigate quality issues; perform root-cause analysis and implement CAPA with production/CNC teams.
• Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and calibration logs; prepare documentation for client deliveries.

Job description

As a QA Engineer at SCJ Engineering, you will be responsible for ensuring that our manufactured products—ranging from precision CNC parts and sheet metal components to automation structures and industrial machinery—consistently meet the highest quality standards and client specifications. You will oversee quality control processes, inspect materials and finished goods, manage non-conformances, and drive continuous improvement across our production floor.

What you'll be doing

Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of precision-machined parts, sheet metal components, and fabricated automation structures against engineering drawings and blueprints.

Utilize precision measuring tools (e.g., Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM if applicable) to verify dimensional accuracy and tolerances.

Monitor manufacturing processes on the shop floor to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ISO/quality management standards.

Identify, record, and investigate quality issues or non-conformances, working closely with production, welding, and CNC machining teams to implement effective root-cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).

Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, and calibration logs; prepare quality documentation for client delivery requirements.

Champion quality best practices, optimize inspection workflows, and contribute to reducing scrap and rework rates in the production line.

What we looking for
