Job summary

Greatech Integration (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a seasoned Quality Leader to oversee quality control across fabrication and assembly, and to drive supplier quality management. The role focuses on enhancing the QMS to ISO 9001 standards and sustaining regulatory compliance.

You will mentor quality engineers and technicians, lead cross‑functional quality initiatives, and manage audits. Strong capability in RCAs, CAPA, and continuous improvement is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent with relevant experience in quality management.
• 8+ years in quality management roles for fabrication/assembly and supplier quality.
• Proven experience leading quality teams and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, audits, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in root cause analysis and CAPA implementation.
• Ability to drive quality strategy and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage quality control across fabrication/assembly and supplier quality.
• Develop and improve the QMS in line with ISO 9001 standards.
• Mentor quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians.
• Oversee supplier quality activities including qualification, audits, and NCR closure.
• Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and manufacturing on quality requirements.
• Lead RCAs and implement corrective/preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
• Monitor and present quality metrics to management to identify risks and opportunities.
• Review and approve inspection plans, control plans, and SOPs.
• Lead internal and external audits and management reviews to sustain certification.

Job description

Lead and manage quality control activities across fabrication or assembly processes, as well as supplier quality to ensure full compliance with organizational and customer quality standards.

Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001 and other applicable standards to ensure system effectiveness and sustainability.

Supervise, mentor, and develop quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians, strengthening team capabilities through structured training, coaching, and performance management.

Drive supplier quality management activities including supplier qualification, performance monitoring, audits, and ensuring timely and effective closure of non-conformances.

Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, engineering, manufacturing, and customer service teams to define quality requirements, resolve issues, and support new product introductions and process changes.

Lead investigation of quality issues by applying advanced root cause analysis methodologies and ensure effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurrence.

Monitor, analyze, and present quality performance metrics to management, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

Review and approve quality-related documentation such as inspection plans, control plans, procedures, and work instructions to ensure robustness and compliance.

Lead preparation and actively participate in internal audits, management reviews, and external/customer audits to maintain certification and regulatory compliance.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives using structured methodologies such as FMEA, SPC, Lean, and Six Sigma to enhance product quality, process efficiency, and cost performance.

Requirements

Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or equivalent years of related experience.

Preferably 8 years and above of work experience in quality management roles for fabrication or assembly processes, as well as supplier quality management.

Proven experience in leading quality teams and managing multiple quality functions.

Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and other applicable quality standards, regulations, and audit requirements.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with proven experience in leading quality teams and collaborating across functions.

Advanced proficiency in quality tools and methodologies, including root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), supplier quality management, and continuous improvement.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to influence decision-making.

Ability to drive quality strategies, system improvements, and operational excellence initiatives.
