Job summary

Solid Point Precision Manufacturing Sdn Bhd in Muar, Johor invites a Quality Engineer/ Assistant Quality Engineer to uphold strict quality controls across manufacturing processes. The role focuses on problem solving via FMEA, SPC, 8D and CAPA, and the development and maintenance of ISO management systems.

You will conduct audits, inspections and testing, collaborate with production teams on corrective actions, and train staff in quality procedures while ensuring compliance with latest standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years in QA/QC within manufacturing, transport or logistics.
• Basic knowledge of CMM operations and measurement techniques.
• Familiarity with GD&T and quality inspection processes.
• Proficient in basic measuring tools and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead root cause analysis and CAPA processes (8D).
• Perform quality audits, inspections and testing to identify issues.

Quality Engineer / Assistant Quality Engineer

The opportunity

Solid Point Precision Manufacturing Sdn Bhd, a leading manufacturer in the manufacturing, transport and logistics industry, is seeking a talented Quality Engineer/ Assistant Quality Engineer to join their team in Muar, Johor. This full‑time role will be integral in ensuring the highest standards of quality control and assurance within the organisation.

Key responsibilities

Knowledge in FMEA, SPC, 8D, CMM and Smart Scope measurement is added advantage.

Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes (8D, CAPA).

Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of ISO management systems. Ensure the organization complies with the latest ISO standards.

Conduct quality audits, inspections and testing to identify and resolve quality issues.

Collaborate with production teams to implement corrective and preventative actions.

Maintain detailed records and documentation to support quality management.

Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality procedures.

Stay up‑to‑date with industry regulations and quality standards.

What we're looking for

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering - Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical or equivalent.

Minimum 3 years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control role within the manufacturing, transport or logistics industry.

Basic knowledge of CMM operations and measurement techniques.

Familiarity with GD&T and quality inspection processes.

Experience in using basic measuring tools (vernier caliper, micrometer, etc.).

Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in using quality management software and data analysis tools.
