Job summary

Resonac Materials Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a QC/QA inspector to verify incoming materials and finished products, ensuring they meet specifications through visual and measurement testing. The role involves improving testing methods, reviewing SPC data, and collaborating with production to resolve out-of-control issues.

The candidate should have 1–2 years in quality control, strong English skills, and optional Japanese language ability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with focus on chemistry, materials science or related field.
• Good command of written and spoken English; Japanese language skills are advantageous.
• Strong SPC knowledge and data analysis ability using Excel.

Responsibilities

• Verify incoming materials by confirming specifications and conducting visual/measurement tests.
• Verify finished products by confirming specs, testing, and routing for re-work as needed.
• Contribute to improving testing methodology and QC SOPs.
• Review SPC data for mass-produced items; identify trends and issues.
• Collaborate with production to determine root cause and corrective actions for out-of-control cases.
• Provide technical support on quality problems by data analysis.
• Maintain ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality management system requirements.
• Coordinate quality improvement programs in assigned area.
• Promote preventive approaches and good housekeeping following company policies.
• Support safety initiatives and ensure compliance with policies.

Job description

1. Verify incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.

2. Verify finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.

3. To improve the current testing methodology and SOP of QC inspectors.

4. Review Statistical Process Control (SPC) data of mass production item.

5. Working together with production team to conduct root cause and corrective action of out of control (OOC) cases.

6. Give technical support on quality problems by analysing the data collected.

7. Maintain the company Quality Management System in accordance to certification requirements (ISO 9001, IATF 16949)

8. To coordinate the quality improvement program in the assigned area.

9. To continuously improve the quality system through Anticipate & Preventive approaches.

10. Enforce god housekeeping and safe working practices as per company policies

Requirements

1. Preferably candidate with 1-2 Year(s) of working experiences specializing in Quality Control/Assurance or equivalent.

2. Good command of spoken and written English

3. Fluent in Japanese speaking, speaking native, JLPT Level 1 level 2 will be added advantage.

4. Candidate must posses at least a Bachelor's Degree. Professional Degree, Engineering Chemistry/ Chemical Engineering / Polymer Technology/ Materials Science or equivalent

5. Strong application knowledge in Statistical Control (SPC) . Analysis skill using excel.
