Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an Executive - Technical (Chemist) to oversee quality control and assurance at Port Klang. You will ensure ISO-system compliance and support product testing and technical service for customers.

Responsibilities include planning quality improvements, root-cause analysis, designing new formulations, and advising customers on usage. Occasional travel within Malaysia is required.

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, while prior QC/ISO exposure is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or Applied Science in polymers, or equivalent.
• Good written and spoken communication skills.
• QC and ISO systems experience is advantageous; fresh graduates are encouraged.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality control and assurance of products.
• Maintain the Quality System for the Technical Department.
• Plan and implement Quality Improvement Projects.
• Determine, report, and recommend corrective actions for root causes of quality deficiencies and non-conformances.
• Design new formulations and systems.
• Provide technical advice on quality matters and support customers with product usage applications when required.
• Test customers' finished products as and when required.
• Coordinate with the Production Department regarding product requirements and troubleshooting.
• Develop suitable quality procedures to minimize rejects.
• Troubleshoot customer complaints.
• Maintain awareness of the Quality Policy, Objectives, Risks, and their respective controls.

• 2. Responsible for maintaining the Quality System related to the Technical Department.
