Job summary

Prent (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Senai, Johor, is seeking a proactive QA Engineer to support NPI, lead validation, and manage customer quality requirements within a regulated manufacturing environment.

You will drive continuous improvement, mentor QA staff, review FAI, coordinate with overseas counterparts, and prepare monthly quality reports across international customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Statistics or a Quality Management System.
• Resourceful and dynamic with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and experience in statistical data analysis.
• Good command of English, communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with customers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Participate in NPI projects, including customer meetings and pre-tool discussions, to understand and communicate quality and qualification requirements.
• Review First Article Inspection (FAI) samples and reports, and coordinate approval submissions to customers.
• Lead validation activities, including PCS, IQ, OQ, and PQ runs, by preparing validation protocols and reports.
• Interpret customer requirements and incorporate them into internal quality specifications and procedures.
• Manage new and qualified tool transfer activities, including coordination with overseas counterparts.
• Establish quality control systems, including Process Management Plans, SPC, InfinityQS, and product specifications.
• Review and disposition non-conforming products and ensure effective closure of non-conformance reports.
• Investigate customer complaints and quality feedback, and verify the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
• Support internal, customer, and ISO audits and drive timely closure of audit findings.
• Perform statistical data analysis for problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and support QA Inspectors and Technicians to enhance quality performance and conduct routine quality floor audits to ensure compliance with established procedures.
• Prepare monthly quality reports covering QA activities, supplier performance, and customer quality metrics.
