Job summary

Qnnect is seeking a QA Engineer to drive product and process quality improvements at our Penang facility. You will analyze data, interface with customers and suppliers on quality matters, and lead 8D reports for issues. Responsibilities include audits, training, and maintaining quality documentation.

The ideal candidate holds an Engineering or Science degree with 3–5 years in quality roles, knowledge of SPC/MSA/PPAP, and ISO9001 experience is a plus. Cables/connectors background is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Science from a recognized university or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of working experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role.
• Analytical in problem solving.
• Knowledge of mechanical drawing and quality core tools such as SPC, MSA, PPAP.
• ISO9001 experience will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge in the cable and connector industry will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for projects related to product and process quality to ensure quality products and total customer satisfaction.

• Interface with customers / suppliers / internal team related to quality issues and failure incidences.
• Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and monitor effectiveness.
• Lead the internal team and prepare customer / internal 8D reports for quality issues.
• Involve in and support relevant quality activities for new part approval and transfer projects.
• Support and assist in customer and third-party audits.
• Perform internal audits and supplier audits when necessary.
• Establish and maintain quality documents such as SOP, WI, SIP, Control Plan etc.
• Conduct training on quality topics/ISO standards to QA Inspectors and internal team.
• Oversee quality inspection and testing of incoming, in-process and outgoing product.
• Manage non-conformance of incoming parts and goods per QMS.

Job Description

Be the key personnel to interface with customers / suppliers / internal team related to quality issues and failure incidences.

Driving issues for root cause(s), corrective action, and monitoring for effectiveness.

Lead the internal team and prepare customer / Internal 8D report whenever there is quality issues.

Involve in and support all the relevant quality of new part approval project and transfer projects.

Support and assist in customer and third-party audit.

To perform internal audit and supplier audit when necessary.

To establish and maintain quality documents such as SOP, WI, SIP, Control Plan and etc.

Conduct training of quality related topics/ISO standard to QA Inspectors and internal team.

Oversee quality inspection and testing of incoming, in process and outgoing product to confirm products quality meet the specification.

To manage non-conformance incoming parts and goods tin accordance with quality management system.

Any other tasks deemed necessary and assigned by superior.

Required Experience

Degree in Engineering or Science from recognized university or related field.

3 to 5 years of working experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role.

Analytical in problem solving.

Knowledge of mechanical drawing and quality core tools such as SPC, MSA, PPAP.

ISO9001 experience will be an added advantage.

Knowledge in the cable and connector industry will be an added advantage.
