Job summary

Prent Corporation seeks a skilled CNC programmer to design tooling using 3-axis and 5-axis CAD/CAM software. The role involves analyzing tool-room operations, upgrading CAD/CAM systems, and creating standardized procedures to streamline fabrication processes.

The candidate will have a mechanical engineering background, 1+ year in tool design, and strong English communication to collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year related experience in tool design or fabrication environment.
• Good command of English (spoken & written).

Responsibilities

Job description

Develop CNC programs for tooling fabrication using 3-axis and 5-axis CAD/CAM software.

Maintain and upgrade CAD/CAM software ensuring efficient use and compliance.

Generate procedures and best practices to standardize and systemize tool fabrication operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 1 year related experience in tool design or fabrication environment.

Technical Proficiency: Preferable familiar with SolidWorks, CAMWorks, hyperMILL or equivalent CAD/CAM software. Possessing knowledge of CNC milling machine operation will be an added advantage..

Attention to Detail: Keen attention to details, strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot process related issues.

Language: Good command of spoken & written in English is a must.

Communication: A good team player with effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Time Management: Flexible to adapt, have ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
