Job summary

Inter Island Group is seeking a QA Engineer to support quality assurance in a manufacturing setting. You will monitor quality performance, investigate issues, implement corrective actions, and ensure products and processes meet established standards.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and at least 2 years of experience; EMS experience is highly preferred and contract manufacturing experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain quality standards throughout manufacturing processes.
• Investigate internal and customer-related quality issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Monitor production quality performance and identify improvements.
• Collaborate with Production and Engineering to resolve issues.
• Prepare and maintain quality documentation and reports.
• Support quality audits and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Follow up on corrective actions to ensure effective implementation.
• Drive continuous improvement of product and process quality.
• Ensure quality activities adhere to established procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Description

We are seeking a QA Engineer to support quality assurance activities within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring quality performance, investigating quality issues, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring products and processes meet established quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain quality standards throughout manufacturing processes.
• Conduct investigations into internal and customer-related quality issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor production quality performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, and other departments to resolve quality issues.
• Prepare and maintain quality-related documentation and reports.
• Support quality audits and ensure compliance with relevant procedures and requirements.
• Monitor and follow up on corrective actions to ensure effective implementation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve product and process quality.
• Ensure quality activities are carried out according to established procedures and specifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.
• Candidates with experience in Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) are highly preferred.
• Candidates from a contract manufacturing environment may also be considered.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
• Good understanding of quality control and quality assurance practices.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
