We are seeking an experienced and strategic QA Director to lead our site quality assurance, quality control, and regulatory compliance functions. In this executive role, you will define and execute the overall quality roadmap, embed operational excellence across precision manufacturing lines, and serve as the primary authority for customer quality audits and international regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Strategy & Governance: Formulate, implement, and maintain strategic Quality Assurance frameworks aligned with international standards (AS9100, ISO 9001) and operational continuous improvement goals.
- Site Quality Leadership: Lead, coach, and scale the QA/QC engineering and inspection teams across all production stages—from raw material qualification to final product release.
- Audits & Regulatory Compliance: Direct internal audit schedules and host external customer and regulatory audits, ensuring full site compliance and timely closure of findings.
- Root Cause Analysis & CAPA: Drive advanced problem-solving initiatives using 8D, FMEA, SPC, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to eliminate non-conformances and reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Program Management to ensure design-for-manufacturability, seamless new product industrialization, and robust supplier quality management.
- Technology & Continuous Improvement: Identify, benchmark, and deploy modern QA technologies, automation inspection methodologies, and Six Sigma frameworks to elevate operational reliability and customer satisfaction.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial), Quality Management, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 12 years of progressive quality management experience within high-precision manufacturing environments, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or Director-level capacity.
- Industry Background: Direct experience in aerospace, precision CNC machining, semiconductor equipment, or complex electromechanical manufacturing.
- Standards & Technical Expertise: Comprehensive mastery of AS9100, ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, SPC, FMEA, MSA, and CAPA systems.
- Leadership & Influence: Proven track record in organizational transformation, talent development, and managing high-stakes client and executive relationships.
- Certifications (Advantageous): ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Black Belt / Master Black Belt, or Certified Lead Auditor.
