Job summary

Risewave Consulting Inc. in Shah Alam, Malaysia, seeks a Senior Quality Engineer - Quality Supervisor to lead supplier quality and manufacturing process quality management. You will drive continuous improvement, manage abnormal materials, and oversee audits and customer requirements.

The role requires strong knowledge of precision manufacturing and ISO 9001, with the ability to lead corrective actions and teach quality best practices across the team.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of quality experience in precision manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System and audits.
• Certifications such as ISO 9001 Internal Auditor or Six Sigma preferred.
• Experience leading QA teams and driving corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Drive supplier quality improvements through qualified supplier change management and root-cause analysis.
• Identify and manage abnormal materials during IQC and production, with containment and CAPA actions.
• Own quality supervision across manufacturing processes and oversee inspections, testing, and documentation.
• Collaborate with Customer Service to understand and meet customer quality requirements and resolve complaints.
• Support internal and external audits, and coordinate customer audits to closure.
• Lead and manage the Quality Team, schedule work, and drive training on quality standards.

Senior Quality Engineer - Quality Supervisor

• Supplier Quality Assurance: Drive continuous improvement of supplier quality through qualified supplier change management, process quality control, product conformity requirements, and closed-loop analysis and resolution of quality issues.
• Abnormal Material Management: Identify and manage abnormal materials during IQC inspection and at the production site. Develop immediate containment and emergency measures, followed by corrective and preventive actions. Track suppliers’ root-cause analysis, improvement actions, and closure of quality issues. Manage accountability and recovery for losses caused by supplier quality problems.

2. Manufacturing Process Quality Management

• Take overall responsibility for the Quality Team and manufacturing process quality control.
• Identify and effectively control critical quality control points throughout the manufacturing process.
• Establish and implement quality supervision plans covering product inspection, testing, laboratory analysis, and in-process inspections.
• Analyze and monitor manufacturing process quality data and statistics, and manage abnormal quality issues.
• Lead the investigation, containment, corrective action, and continuous improvement of product quality issues during manufacturing, including control and disposition of non-conforming products.
• Optimize and improve quality-related processes, procedures, and documentation within the manufacturing process.

3. Customer Quality Management

• Work closely with the Customer Service team to understand and clarify customer quality requirements and standards.
• Handle customer quality complaints and lead root-cause investigations, corrective actions, and effectiveness verification.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction.

4. Customer & Quality Audits

• Support internal audits, external audits, and quality management system certification activities.
• Coordinate customer audits, including audit preparation, on-site communication, corrective action implementation, and follow-up until closure.

5. Quality Team Management

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Quality Team, including work scheduling, task allocation, and performance evaluation.
• Establish and continuously improve inspection standards and quality control procedures.
• Organize quality-related training programs to strengthen employees’ quality awareness and improve the overall capabilities of the Quality Team.

Job Requirements

• At least 3 years of quality experience in the precision manufacturing industry, including at least 1 year in a quality management role.
• Strong knowledge of precision manufacturing processes and extensive experience with the ISO 9001 Quality Management System. Able to independently manage audits, customer quality complaints, quality improvement projects, and related quality management activities.
• Certifications: Candidates with quality-related certifications such as ISO 9001 Internal Auditor or Six Sigma will be preferred.
• Other Requirements: Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, with a meticulous and detail-oriented approach to work.
