Job summary

CS Progyms Pharmaceutical Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a QA Assistant to support the Quality Assurance system and ensure ISO 22000 compliance.

You will assist in FSMS development, conduct internal audits, hygiene inspections, and work with QC to address non-conformities in a fast‑paced food and nutraceutical environment. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Must have or be pursuing SPM or Diploma in Food or related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; 1–2 years QA experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of quality control procedures.
• Good documentation and reporting skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word).
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Puts food safety as top priority and does things properly at all times.
• Strategic and proactive, monitoring and implementing preventive actions on food safety.
• Report problems on food safety and provide suggestions at work.
• Support the QA Supervisor in maintaining the QA system in line with ISO 22000.
• Assist in development and review of the FSMS.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards.
• Monitor effectiveness of HACCP plan and other food safety controls.
• Perform daily hygiene inspections of production areas, equipment and personnel.
• Oversee pest control programs to prevent contamination risks.
• Inspect incoming raw materials and packaging for safety and quality.
• Collaborate with QC to address non-conformities and implement CAPAs.
• Maintain QA documentation including audit reports and training records.
• Train staff on food safety and quality procedures.

QA Assistant (Quality Assurance Assistant)

Responsibility:

• Puts food safety as top priority and does things properly at all times.
• Strategic and proactive, continuously monitoring, thinking ahead and implementing preventive actions on food safety.
• Encouraged to report problems on food safety and give suggestions at work.
• Support the QA Supervisor in maintaining the Quality Assurance (QA) system in compliance with ISO 22000.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and periodic review of the Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
• Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards.
• Monitor and verify the effectiveness of the HACCP plan and other food safety controls.
• Conduct daily hygiene inspections, ensuring production areas, equipment, and personnel meet sanitation standards.
• Supervise filtered water quality testing, ensuring compliance with microbiological and chemical safety requirements.
• Oversee pest control programs, ensuring effective measures are in place to prevent contamination risks.
• Perform incoming raw material and packaging material inspections, verifying supplier compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with the QC team to address non-conformities, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain and update QA documentation, including audit reports, training records, and quality monitoring data.
• Train staff on food safety and quality assurance procedures.

Job Requirements

• SPM / Diploma in Food or related field.
