Job summary

Tongda Smart Tech (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a procurement professional to secure goods and services that meet quality and quantity standards for production and prototype builds.

You will negotiate contracts, release POs per MRP, and optimize ordering processes to ensure timelines and cost effectiveness. Responsibilities include monitoring supplier performance, resolving quality and delivery issues, and maintaining compliance with safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Purchase goods or services that meet quantity and quality expectations.
• Evaluate and negotiate contracts with vendors.
• Procure components to support production or prototype builds; accomplish best pricing and lead time agreements, resolve quality issues, delivery and inventory levels.
• Ensure materials supply equals demand and optimize overall cost of materials.
• Release PO according to Materials Requirement Plan (MRP).
• Optimize order management process to ensure effective communication with suppliers.
• Monitor and continuously improve supplier delivery and quality performance; resolve recurring or critical issues via corrective action tools and resources.
• Monitor, track, and provide feedback on suppliers’ performance on delivery, quality, and service.
• Adhere to all safety rules and use required protective equipment.
• Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
• Comply and follow all procedures within the company.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
