Job summary

Synergy Staffing in Malaysia is seeking a procurement professional to manage sourcing, purchasing, and supplier relations within a manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree (Business Admin, SCM or Engineering) with 3–5 years of progressive procurement experience, strong negotiation skills, and fluency in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia to coordinate with local and international suppliers.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of progressive experience in procurement, purchasing, or sourcing roles, preferably in manufacturing/industrial environment.

• Strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• High integrity and ethical conduct in procurement activities.
• Excellent English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia communications.
• Ability to inspect goods for quality and address defects with vendors.
• Proven problem-solving skills under pressure and during supply disruptions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in sourcing and procurement of goods and services, ensuring alignment with quality standards and budget.
• Support negotiations for favorable pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders with complete documentation.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with departments to forecast demand.
• Inspect incoming goods for defects and ensure quality requirements; escalate discrepancies.
• Maintain strong vendor relationships and act as primary contact for inquiries and issues.
• Assist in developing procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and efficiency.
• Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes and systems.
