Job summary

Synergy Staffing is seeking a procurement specialist to manage sourcing, supplier negotiations, and delivery scheduling in a manufacturing context. The role emphasizes cost control, supplier performance, and cross-functional collaboration.

The successful candidate will leverage 3–5 years of procurement experience, strong analytical ability, and multilingual communication (English, Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia) to sustain high-quality supplier relationships and ensure timely, compliant purchases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in procurement, purchasing, or sourcing roles, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Ability to develop and implement negotiation strategies to secure favourable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Analytical skills to evaluate supplier performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and manage inventory levels effectively.
• Strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• High integrity and ethical conduct in procurement activities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Ability to inspect goods for defects and ensure quality standards.
• Problem-solving under pressure and during disruptions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in sourcing and procurement of goods and services aligned with quality standards and budget.

• Process purchase requisitions and issue orders accurately.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with departments to forecast demand.

• Maintain strong vendor relationships and act as primary contact for inquiries.
• Assist in developing procurement strategies to optimise costs and efficiency.
• Prepare regular reports on procurement activities and savings achieved.
