Job summary

AMCEN Lab Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Procurement Assistant to support purchasing activities, source suppliers, and ensure timely processing of purchase orders. You will monitor inventory, obtain quotations, and coordinate with departments to meet requirements while adhering to ISO quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement or purchasing is desirable.
• Ability to negotiate with suppliers to obtain best terms.
• Strong record-keeping and data management skills.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain best pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (PO) accurately and ensure timely processing.
• Follow up with suppliers on order status and delivery schedules to ensure materials arrive on time.
• Procure goods, materials, equipment, and services per procurement policies and ISO quality requirements.
• Obtain and compare quotations to achieve cost-effective purchasing.
• Coordinate with departments to meet purchasing requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and arrange replenishment to avoid stock shortages.
• Ensure purchased items meet specifications and quality standards.
• Resolve issues related to delays, damaged goods, or incorrect items.
• Maintain purchasing records, supplier databases, quotations, POs, invoices.
• Assist in evaluating supplier performance and identifying new suppliers to improve cost, quality, and service.
• Prepare purchasing reports and assist cost-saving initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Job description

1. Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms.

2. Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (PO) accurately and ensure timely processing.

3. Follow up with suppliers on order status and delivery schedules to ensure materials arrive on time.

4. Procure goods, materials, equipment, and services required to support the company's operational and business needs in accordance with company procurement policies and procedures.

5. Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers to achieve cost-effective purchasing.

6. Coordinate closely with all departments to ensure purchasing requirements are met.

7. Monitor inventory levels and arrange replenishment to avoid stock shortages.

8. Ensure all purchased items meet the required specifications and quality standards.

9. Resolve issues related to delivery delays, damaged goods, incorrect items, or supplier performance.

10. Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier databases, quotations, purchase orders, invoices, and related documents.

11. Assist in evaluating supplier performance and identifying new suppliers to improve cost, quality, and service. 12. Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies, procedures, and ISO quality requirements.

13. Prepare purchasing reports and assist in cost-saving initiatives.

14. Perform any other duties assigned by Management from time to time.
