Job summary

Waco Formwork (M) Sdn Bhd is expanding its procurement team to support growing operations. The role focuses on sourcing local materials, coordinating with the China head office, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing for projects.

You will engage suppliers, issue POs, track deliveries, evaluate supplier performance, and maintain purchasing records to support on-site operations across construction projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline.
• Experience in purchasing, procurement or supplier coordination is preferred.
• Good business English for vendor communication; basic Bahasa Malaysia or Chinese is advantageous.
• Strong negotiation, communication and follow‑up skills.

Responsibilities

• Source & purchase local materials: formwork accessories, hardware, construction consumables, office & spare parts.
• Coordinate with China head office for imported goods, track customs clearance & arrival. Verify PO and GRN, control purchasing cost.
• Supplier performance evaluation & record keeping, resolve incoming quality issues, optimize supply chain.
• Work with warehouse to check incoming goods quality & quantity; maintain purchasing documents, submit periodic purchasing report to HQ.

Waco Formwork (M) Sdn Bhd is a Malaysia-based, high-tech formwork and scaffolding company integrating advanced German formwork system technology with established local manufacturing capabilities and professional formwork design.

Our business covers formwork design, production, rental and sales, logistics, import and export, and on-site service. Our product range includes horizontal, vertical, adjustable arc, cantilever, single-side, hydraulic self-climbing and other formwork systems used across bridge, super high-rise, nuclear power, hydropower, LNG and infrastructure projects.

We are expanding our team and looking for motivated, organised and dependable professionals to support our growing operations.

Key responsibilities

Source & purchase local materials: formwork accessories, hardware, construction consumables, office & spare parts. Conduct supplier sourcing, quotation comparison, negotiation, PO issuance and delivery follow‑up.

Coordinate with China head office for imported goods, track customs clearance & arrival. Verify PO and GRN, control purchasing cost.

Supplier performance evaluation & record keeping, resolve incoming quality issues, optimize supply chain.

Work with warehouse to check incoming goods quality & quantity; maintain purchasing documents, submit periodic purchasing report to HQ.

Requirements

Diploma or degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline.
