Job summary

TMK Chemical Bhd. is seeking a procurement-focused professional to develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with corporate goals.

The role involves leading supplier sourcing, contract negotiations, and managing vendor relationships across departments to ensure compliant and cost-effective purchasing. You will monitor supplier performance, drive cost savings, and manage the purchasing budget while upholding ethical and legal standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with company goals.
• Lead sourcing and selection of suppliers, negotiate contracts and terms, and manage vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with internal departments to determine purchasing needs and ensure policy compliance.
• Evaluate supplier performance and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Manage the purchasing budget and track expenses within the allocated budget.
• Ensure purchasing activities are ethical, legal, and aligned with company values.
• Perform additional tasks as required by management.

Job description

To be responsible in developing and implementing purchasing strategies and policies that align with the company's goals and objectives.

To led the sourcing and selection of suppliers for goods and services, negotiate contracts and terms, and manage relationships with vendors.

To collaborate and work together with internal departments to determine their purchasing needs and ensure that all purchases are in compliance with the company's policies and procedures.

To evaluate supplier performance and provide feedback to suppliers to ensure continuous improvement.

To develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.

To monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

To be able in managing the purchasing budget and track expenses to ensure that they are within the allocated budget.

To ensure that all purchasing activities are conducted in a manner that is ethical, legal, and consistent with the company's values.

To perform any other tasks as and when required and instructed by the superior or by the Management.
