Job summary

Eonmetall Group Berhad in Malaysia is seeking a Purchasing Manager to oversee day-to-day purchasing activities and drive strategic sourcing with suppliers.

You will lead contract negotiations, monitor key metrics, forecast price trends, and implement cost-saving initiatives while ensuring policy compliance and strong vendor relationships. This on-site role leverages a robust supplier network and cross-functional collaboration to meet company objectives.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day purchasing activities and ensure staff meet performance standards.
• Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies.
• Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with favorable terms.
• Track and report key metrics to reduce expenses and improve efficiency.
• Forecast price and market trends to balance buyer–supplier power.
• Perform cost and scenario analyses and benchmarking.
• Source and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.
• Propose improvements to the purchasing system and vendor relations.
• Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
• Review purchase orders and contracts for policy conformance.
• Analyze market and delivery systems for material availability.
• Contribute to specifications for equipment, products or substitutes.
• Resolve vendor grievances and claims against suppliers.
• Represent the company in negotiating contracts with suppliers.
• Maintain AVL and network to discover new deals on orders.
• Perform any related tasks as needed.

• 1) Manage the company’s day-to-day purchasing activities and ensure that purchasing staffs are meeting their personal performance standards .
• 2) Developing, leading and executing purchasing strategies .
• 3) Crafting negotiation strategies and closingdeals with optimal terms .
• 4) Tracking and reporting key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness .
• 5) Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power .
• 6) Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking .
• 7) Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers .
• 8) Determine quantity and timing of deliveries .
• 9) Propose improvements to the current purchasing system that will improve vendor relationships and lower the cost of purchase .
• 10) Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
• 11) Review purchase order and contracts for conformance to company policy.
• 12) Analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability.
• 13) Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials.
• 14) Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers.
• 15) Represent companies in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.
• 16) Maintains AVL & network of professional contacts in order to discover new opportunities for good deals on orders .
