Job summary

Ortho Solutions Sdn. Bhd. in Penang, Malaysia, a medical device contract manufacturer, seeks a dedicated Production Planner to generate Job Routers and monitor production to meet shipment plans.

You will coordinate with CS and Purchasing, ensure material readiness, and track progress for timely deliveries. The role requires a Diploma or higher, strong ERP/MRP and Excel skills, and excellent organizational and communication abilities in English.

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma or above.
• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience in production control, planning, or manufacturing operations is preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Required language can speak and write English are preferred.
• Self-motivated, with strong organizational and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate Job Router for production to ensure continuity of production.
• Monitor orders and delivery commitments and adjust delivery dates accordingly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete job orders on-time and within customer expectations.
• Communicate and update Managers on job orders to ensure seamless shipment flow.
• Prepare and ensure components kitting and material preparation for production to meet the shipment plan.
• Access current capacity of each process with detailed schedule to commit customer delivery date.

Job description

Generates Job Router for production to ensure continuity of production.

Monitor order and delivery commitment and adjust the new commitment date from time to time.

Work with cross-functional teams to complete job orders on-time and within customer expectation

Communicate and update with Managers on job order in the regular basic to ensure seamless flow of shipment.

To prepare and ensure the components kitting and material preparation for production is able to adhere the shipment plan.

To access the current capacity of each process with detailed schedule in order to commit customer expected delivery date.

To coordinate with related department on the delivery of the goods to customers

To monitor closely on production progress and daily output.

To prepare and monitor monthly shipment budget plan in order to achieve monthly objective.

To perform production capacity review from time to time in order to respond to customer expectation in a timely manner

Work closely with CS and Purchasing on material replenishment plan in order to fulfilling customer order.

To check inventory prior to issue new Job router in order to reduce the stock at inventory from time to time.

Address issues that may affect the of delivery plan to superior to medized delivery disruption.

Lease with Purchasing on outsourced service and keep track of the quality and delivery schedule.

Communicate regularly with customer on delivery status and commitment.

Work closely with inter-departments personnel in order to ensure job orders able to ship as per shipment plan.

To respond on each PO review output in term of delivery commitment from time to time.

Able to disseminate or coordinate with issue or request from customers to related departments.
