Job summary

Boston Scientific Medical Device (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Procurement professional to obtain materials, plan requirements, and maintain inventory for production.

The role involves SAP Windchill setup, supplier coordination, and ensuring timely material flow to production, with fresh graduates welcome and exposure to SAP, RR, Production Planning, and S&OP preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or fresh graduate with related internship experience.
• Fresh graduate or up to 2 years of working experience preferred.
• Exposure to SAP, RR, Production Planning, and S&OP is preferred; good analytical and communication skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Ensure supplier setup correctly in Windchills and Master Data of SAP.
• Manage component supply and inventory levels for product lines, planning and purchasing for material requirements and ensuring flow to the production floor.
• Read drawings to determine dimensions, tolerances, and IQC points and communicate specifications to suppliers.
• Develop relationships with strategic supplier/partners; serve as primary contact and foster beneficial supplier relations.
• Coordinate early supplier involvement in product development and procure required materials for development and launches.
• Support development of new technologies and supplier capabilities.
• Ensure confidentiality agreements and contracts are established with suppliers.
• Support product development goals in components, materials and suppliers area.
• Manage implementation of suppliers including first articles and validations.

Responsible for obtaining materials, components, and consumable items. Determines material requirements from engineering and production schedules, and maintains inventory at planned levels. Plans, schedules, and monitors the movement of materials through the production cycle. Evaluates vendor reliability, develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate. Monitors cost, schedule, and scope of assigned to assure the best quality at the best value from the supplier.

Job Responsibility:

• Ensure supplier setup correctly in Windchills and Master Data of SAP.
• Manages component supply and inventory levels for product line(s), planning and purchasing for material requirements and ensuring the flow of materials to the production floor.
• Understands and communicates component specifications to suppliers, including the ability to read drawings to determine dimensions, tolerances, and Incoming Quality Control (IQC) points.
• Develops and enhances relationships with strategic supplier/partners. Serves as the primary contact and fosters a positive and mutually beneficial relationship with suppliers.
• Coordinates early supplier involvement in product development and purchases the required materials to support product development and product launches.
• Actively works and supports the development of new technologies and supplier capabilities.
• Ensures that Confidentiality Agreements and necessary contracts are established with suppliers.
• Supports product development goals in the components, materials and suppliers area.
• Manages the implementation of suppliers (including ensuring the completion of appropriate first articles and validations).
