Job summary

Unicorn Insulations is seeking a proactive Purchasing Executive to lead end-to-end procurement for manufacturing in Puncak Alam, Selangor. You will manage vendor relationships, source materials and equipment, and drive supply chain efficiency in a hands-on role.

Mandatory Mandarin Chinese fluency is required to liaise with suppliers in China, with strong English and Bahasa Malaysia skills to collaborate跨部门. ERP systems experience and exposure to ERP implementation are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Mandarin Chinese fluency is mandatory for liaising with suppliers in China; fluent English and Bahasa Malaysia required.

Responsibilities

• Procurement & Sourcing: End-to-end purchasing for raw materials, packaging, consumables, spare parts, machinery and sub-contracted services; negotiate pricing and terms.
• Supplier Management: Evaluate performance, build local and international vendor networks, perform cost analyses.
• Inventory & Warehouse Coordination: Track safety stock, prevent shortages, participate in cycle counts with Warehouse/Production.
• ERP Systems & Process Improvement: Maintain master data accuracy; contribute as power user during ERP implementation in H2-2026.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align with Engineering, Quality and Finance to streamline purchasing workflows for new product sourcing.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing: Manage end‑to‑end purchasing for raw materials, packaging, consumables, spare parts, machinery, and sub‑contracted services. Negotiate competitive pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.

Supplier Management: Evaluate supplier performance, build reliable local and international vendor networks, and lead cost comparison analyses.

Inventory & Warehouse Coordination: Partner with the Warehouse and Production teams to monitor safety stock, prevent material shortages, and participate in cycle counts.

ERP Systems & Process Improvement: Maintain master data accuracy and act as a key contributor/power user during our H2-2026 ERP implementation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Finance to streamline purchasing workflows and support new product development sourcing.

Job Requirements

Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment.

Mandatory Language Proficiency: Spoken and written fluency in Mandarin Chinese (required for frequent liaison with manufacturers/suppliers in China), alongside fluent English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Technical Skills: Hands‑on experience with ERP systems is required. (Experience as an ERP Power User or involvement in ERP system implementation is highly advantageous).

Core Competencies: Proficient in MS Excel, strong price negotiation tactics, and a good understanding of inventory control and material planning.
