Job summary

Unicorn Insulations in Puncak Alam, Selangor, is seeking a proactive Purchasing Executive to lead end-to-end procurement for our manufacturing operations. You will manage vendor relationships, source raw materials and equipment, and optimize supply chain efficiency.

Fluent Mandarin and English are required to liaise with suppliers in China; experience with ERP systems and strong MS Excel and negotiation skills are essential during our ERP implementation planned for H2-2026.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Business Administration, Engineering, or Logistics.
• Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Mandarin Chinese fluency required for frequent liaison with suppliers in China.
• Proficient in MS Excel and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Procurement & Sourcing: Manage end-to-end purchasing for raw materials, packaging, consumables, spare parts, machinery, and sub-contracted services. Negotiate competitive pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Supplier Management: Evaluate supplier performance, build reliable local and international vendor networks, and lead cost comparison analyses.
• Inventory & Warehouse Coordination: Partner with the Warehouse and Production teams to monitor safety stock, prevent material shortages, and participate in cycle counts.
• ERP Systems & Process Improvement: Maintain master data accuracy and act as a key contributor/power user during our H2-2026 ERP implementation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Finance to streamline purchasing workflows and support new product development sourcing.

Job Requirements

Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment.

Mandatory Language Proficiency: Spoken and written fluency in Mandarin Chinese (required for frequent liaison with manufacturers/suppliers in China), alongside fluent English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with ERP systems is required. (Experience as an ERP Power User or involvement in ERP system implementation is highly advantageous).

Core Competencies: Proficient in MS Excel, strong price negotiation tactics, and a good understanding of inventory control and material planning.
