Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a procurement professional to identify and source suppliers while maintaining strong relationships for business continuity, focusing on indirect materials and services.

You will negotiate prices, secure components and tooling, ensure on-time delivery, and coordinate materials movement from receiving to production. Requires 2–3 years in procurement, a bachelor's degree in a related field, and fluency in English and Mandarin.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of procurement experience, preferably from manufacturing.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experienced in English and Mandarin to communicate with Mandarin-speaking suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Identify and source new suppliers while maintaining strong business relations with current suppliers for business continuity.
• Negotiate with vendors for indirect materials and services, achieving best price and service guarantees.
• Secure components, tooling, supplies and capital equipment based on schedules or forecasted demand.
• Ensure indirect materials availability to support customer requirements through on-time delivery and coordinating materials movement.
• Source, select, and qualify new suppliers to build the indirect-purchases supply chain.
• Monitor and improve supplier delivery and quality; address issues with corrective actions.

Identify and source new suppliers while maintaining strong business relations with current suppliers for business continuity

Negotiates with vendors for productive Indirect Materials and services, negotiating the best possible price and service guarantee.

Secures components, tooling, supplies and capital equipment, when necessary, based on previously determined schedules or newly created target dates or production forecasted demand

Ensure indirect materials availability to support customer requirements through on-time delivery, and coordination of materials movement (pull-in & push-out) through receiving to production.

Source, select, qualify new suppliers and vendors to build supply chain for indirect purchases

Monitor and continuously improve supplier’s delivery and quality performance. Address and resolve recurring or critical issues by utilizing corrective action tools and additional resources.

Job Requirement

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in procurement role, preferably from manufacturing industry.

Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
