Job summary

Rising Net Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Executive to support purchasing and inventory functions, including stock receiving, supplier coordination, and purchase order processing. This role works closely with warehouse operations and other purchasing team members to ensure smooth stock flow.

You will handle GRN processing, monitor container stock shipments, liaise with suppliers for pricing and stock availability, and contribute to stock forecasting and reporting.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management; fresh graduates encouraged.
• Familiarity with GRN processing and inventory/ERP systems is an advantage.
• Detail-oriented with good numerical accuracy; basic Excel skills for stock analysis.
• Good communication skills for coordinating with suppliers, warehouse staff, and cross-branch teams.
• Proficient in spoken and written Mandarin for liaising with China-based suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Process GRN for back-to-back orders, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders and delivery documents.
• Manage and monitor container stock shipments, coordinating with vendors and forwarders on shipment schedules and delivery timelines.
• Liaise with suppliers to obtain pricing, quotations, and stock availability for items not held in inventory, and support supplier coordination as needed across branches.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for incoming stock, ensuring timely and correct updates in the Company's system.
• Coordinate with the warehouse team to reconcile GRN records against physical stock counts.
• Liaise with suppliers on delivery schedules, discrepancies, and issues related to container or bulk stock orders.
• Support stock forecasting and inventory analysis to inform future purchasing decisions.
• Assist in identifying slow-moving or excess stock and flag findings for management review.
• Maintain proper purchasing documentation and records for audit and compliance purposes.
