Job summary

Wong Engineering in Kulim, Kedah seeks an experienced Purchasing professional to manage supplier relations, source raw materials, and enforce cost-effective procurement. The role requires coordinating with internal teams to fulfill requisitions and maintain inventory levels.

You will review terms, negotiate with vendors, and ensure timely delivery while adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Kulim.

Qualifications

• Negotiation & inventory control is required.
• Knowledge of payment terms & shipping Incoterms.
• Solid computer skills.
• SAP system knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with respective sections to update on materials or consumables needed by requestors.
• Source suppliers for raw materials and consumables per requisition.
• Negotiate pricing, quality, and delivery with suppliers.
• Review stock purchases by monitoring market conditions, stock levels, lead times, and orders.
• Follow up to ensure items are delivered on time as scheduled.
• Generate purchase orders upon receiving requisitions.
• Plan and control material inventory.
• Submit related documents to departments after purchasing processes.
• Ensure LLM and raw materials are purchased per requirements.
• Create and maintain vendor stock codes in SAP.
• Follow environmental policies and comply with related regulations.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by Management.

• Minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience in a Purchasing field or related position.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGES :

• Negotiation & inventory control skill


• Have knowledge in payment term & shipping Incoterm processes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Liaising with respective section and updating on the material or consumable items required by the requestor to full-fill the purchasing requirement.


• Sourcing for the supplier or vendor for raw material and consumable items base on the purchase requisition.


• Negotiating pricing, product quality, and delivery time with supplier or vendor.


• Review stock purchase by monitoring market conditions, current stock levels, lead time required for manufacturing, potential price increase, anticipation of new orders from customer or suppliers conditions.


• Follow-up and ensuring items are delivering on time as per scheduling


• Generating Purchasing order upon received Purchase requisition.


• Planning and controlling on the material inventory.


• Submitting all related documents to various department upon completion the processes of purchasing.


• Ensuring the part of LLM and raw material are purchase accordingly to the requirement.


• Creating and maintaining vendor stock code in system (SAP).


• Follow the Company's environmental policy and procedures and comply with any environmental related legal or regulatory requirements


• Any other tasks as and when assigned by the Management.
