Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a purchasing professional in Kuala Lumpur to manage daily purchasing activities for food ingredients, supplies, and equipment. You will liaise with local suppliers, obtain quotations, and negotiate terms to ensure cost-effective procurement.

The role requires strong negotiation skills, detail-orientation, and the ability to coordinate with kitchen and administrative teams. Location is KLCC area with travel as needed; salary starts from RM4,000 per month.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with the Kuala Lumpur market, local suppliers, or F&B procurement channels is preferred.
• Experience in purchasing for restaurants, hot pot outlets, food products, or fresh produce is preferred.
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and possesses strong negotiation and execution skills.
• Candidates with a valid driving licence who are able to travel for purchasing duties are preferred.
• Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily purchasing activities, including food ingredients, supplies, equipment, and other operational necessities.
• Liaise with local suppliers to obtain quotations, compare prices, negotiate terms, and follow up on purchases.
• Assist in evaluating suitable suppliers and establishing reliable procurement channels.
• Manage purchase orders, deliveries, goods inspections, supporting documents, and procurement records.
• Coordinate with the kitchen, front-of-house, and administrative teams to replenish supplies and control costs.
• Resolve purchasing issues promptly, including shortages, incorrect deliveries, returns, and exchanges.
