Job summary

CHUNG NYAP YOON MACHINERY SDN BHD in Malaysia seeks a Purchasing professional to manage procurement from supplier sourcing to goods receipt, ensuring timely delivery and budget alignment. You will source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate costs, monitor stock, and maintain accurate procurement records to support monthly closes and operational efficiency.

• Diploma/Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
• Relevant purchasing/procurement experience is preferred.
• Experience in construction, machinery, spare parts, or material purchasing is an advantage.
• Good negotiation and communication skills.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
• Responsible, organized, and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate procurement activities from supplier sourcing, quotation, purchase order, delivery follow-up, and goods receipt to ensure required materials and products are obtained on time.
• Source and evaluate suppliers based on pricing, quality, availability, reliability, and delivery capability to achieve the Company's purchasing requirements and budget.
• Negotiate and monitor purchasing costs by obtaining competitive quotations, negotiating pricing and terms, and identifying cost-saving opportunities for company products and materials.
• Monitor inventory and stock requirements by reviewing stock levels, usage, and purchasing requirements to minimize stock shortages and ensure materials are available when required.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and reports by compiling monthly purchasing data and ensuring PO, DO and other related documents are complete and ready for month-end closing.
• Maintain good working relationships with suppliers, internal departments, clients, and other relevant parties to ensure smooth communication and timely resolution of purchasing and delivery issues.
• Follow up on outstanding purchases and deliveries by coordinating with suppliers and relevant departments regarding delivery status, quantity, quality, and other procurement-related matters.
• Assist the Purchasing Manager and Top Management with procurement-related analysis, special purchases, supplier matters, and other duties or ad-hoc tasks as required.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities (KPI-Measurable)

Manage and coordinate procurement activities from supplier sourcing, quotation, purchase order, delivery follow-up, and goods receipt to ensure required materials and products are obtained on time.
