Job summary

Mega Sedaya Construction Sdn Bhd is seeking a procurement professional to manage purchasing of construction materials, production supplies and services essential to our site operations in Malaysia. You will coordinate with site staff and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and maintain accurate records of orders, deliveries and invoicing.

The role requires a Diploma or Degree in Business Studies / Administration / Management, Supply Chain / Procurement / Logistics, at least two years’

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business Studies / Administration / Management, Supply Chain / Procurement / Logistics or equivalent.
• At least 2 years’ experience in the construction industry.
• Professional disposition and good attitude.
• Able to communicate with all levels and work independently.
• High flexibility and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Purchasing construction materials, production supplies and essential services.
• Coordinate and monitor site staff and suppliers for on-time delivery.
• Handle daily operational purchasing: planning, issuing and following PO delivery.
• Source/evaluate vendor quotations, negotiate and purchase locally and overseas.
• Resolve supply, quality, service and invoicing issues with vendors.
• Maintain close communication with vendors on scheduling and delivery progress.
• Record materials delivered to site and chase DO return on time.
• Conduct monthly stock counts.
• Maintain and update all documentation and records daily.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by superiors.

Job description

1) Responsible for purchasing construction building materials, production supplies and services essential to the area of responsibility.

2) Coordinate, monitor and follow up with site staff and supplier on time delivery.

3) In-charge of daily operational purchasing needs i.e., Planning, issuing and follow-up on Purchase Order (PO) delivery and shipment schedules.

4) Responsible to source/evaluate vendor's quotation, negotiate and purchase materials from both local and oversea vendors.

5) Resolve supply, quality, service, and invoicing issues with vendors.

6) Close communication with vendors on scheduling & delivery progress.

7) Responsible to record materials delivery to Site and chase the Site return the DO on time.

8) Conduct stock count in monthly basis.

9) Filling of all documentations and updating of all records daily.

10) To perform all other ad-hoc duties assigned by superiors whenever necessary from time to time.

Requirements

1) Candidate must possess at least Diploma or Degree in Business Studies / Administration / Management, Supply Chain / Procurement / Logistic or equivalent qualification.

2) At least 2 years’ experience with construction Industry.
