You will learn how to source materials, negotiate with suppliers, and support project teams while leveraging your QS training.
Key responsibilitiesAssist in sourcing materials, equipment, and subcontractors based on project requirements.
Issue purchase orders and follow up on deliveries to ensure site timelines are met.
Support the senior procurement team in preparing RFQs and comparing supplier quotes.
Read and interpret basic Bills of Quantities (BOQ) to understand material take-offs.
Assist in checking supplier invoices against purchase orders and delivery orders for cost accuracy.
Help track material costs against project budgets and flag any overspending.
Maintain supplier databases and update price lists.
Coordinate between site teams and suppliers regarding delivery schedules.
File and organize purchase records, delivery orders, and supplier contracts.
About youDegree/Diploma/certificate in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Fresh graduates with a QS-related qualification are encouraged to apply.
0–2 years of experience (internships or part-time work in purchasing/admin is a bonus, but not required).
Basic understanding of BOQ and construction drawings.
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel (e.g., able to use basic formulas and tables).
Some knowledge of contract terms (e.g., delivery terms, payment terms) is helpful.
Good communication and follow-up skills.
Detail-oriented and organized.
Willingness to learn on the job.
