Job summary

Randstad Malaysia seeks a Government Liaison and project coordination professional in Kuala Lumpur to manage contracts from tender through delivery, maintain relations with local authorities, and ensure timely reporting and communications.

You will handle ePerolehan processes, registrations, and documentation, coordinate between stakeholders, and monitor timelines, licences, and renewals while traveling locally as required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Public Administration, Business, Project Management, Law, or a related field.
• At least 3 years in government liaison, tender or procurement, or project coordination with government agencies
• Strong Bahasa Malaysia and English communication skills
• Understanding of local councils, government procurement (ePerolehan, quotations, tenders) and claims/payments processes
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Willing to travel locally and to project sites, with own transport

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain working relationships with local authorities and government stakeholders.
• Attend site meetings, briefings and progress meetings, and present company proposals when required.
• Follow up on all correspondence and communications with the authorities.
• Coordinate between stateholders, operations, finance and vendors to ensure timeliness and compliance with SOP and KPI.
• Spot risks early (delays, disputes, compliance gaps) and escalate to management.
• Keep a contract register covering expiry dates, renewals, performance bonds and insurance.
