Job summary

Holstein Selama Dairy Sdn Bhd is seeking a contract Lab Technician to perform tests, prepare samples, and maintain lab equipment in a manufacturing setting in Johor Bahru. You will collect data, support R&D projects including shelf-life studies, and ensure a clean, safe laboratory environment with documentation of results.

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Technology/Food Science or equivalent.
• 1–3 years working experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; training provided.
• Good laboratory skills and attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal and written/verbal English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to analyse, prioritise, organise and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests, experiments, and analytical procedures according to established protocols.
• Prepare, label, and maintain samples, reagents, and test materials.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Collect, record, and analyse data with accuracy.
• Assist R&D in product and process development including shelf-life studies.
• Maintain a clean, safe lab environment in compliance with safety standards.
• Document procedures, observations, and results in lab notebooks and systems.
• Support troubleshooting of test methods, equipment issues, and process variations.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the lab and R&D.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality and Production) as needed.

Qualification:

• Candidate must possess at least Degree in Food Technology/Food Science or equivalent.
• Between 1-3 years working experience, especially in a manufacturing environment.
• Fresh Graduate are also encouraged to apply. Training provided.
• Have good laboratory skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, in verbal and written for English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Ability to speak and write in Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Good computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Ability to analyse, prioritize, organize, and manage multitask.
