AIC Ingredients Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia is seeking a detail-oriented Food Scientist to support NPD projects and quality initiatives.
You will conduct research, testing and analytical activities, assist in formulation, trials and sensory evaluation, and ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000 and Halal requirements.
Fresh graduates are welcome; training will be provided, and you will work closely with production, purchasing and quality teams.

Conduct research, laboratory and analytical work for new product development (NPD) projects.
Conduct research, testing and analytical activities for existing product improvement and optimisation.
Assist in product formulation, sample preparation, product trials, sensory evaluation and production trials.
Evaluate raw materials, ingredients and packaging materials for product development and quality purposes.
Conduct incoming raw material, in-process and finished-product quality inspections and testing.
Investigate product quality issues, non-conformities and customer complaints, and assist in root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
Ensure effective implementation and maintenance of GMP, HACCP and FSSC 22000 & HALAL requirements.
Work closely with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, suppliers and other departments to resolve quality and production-related issues.
Identify opportunities for product, process and quality improvement.
Ensure compliance with company procedures, food safety requirements and applicable regulatory standards.
Undertake other duties, projects and responsibilities assigned by management as required.
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry or a related field.
Working experience in R&D, QA/QC, food manufacturing or a related field is an added advantage.
Exposure to ISO, HACCP, GMP and/or FSSC 22000 would be an advantage.
Knowledge or experience in Halal requirements is an added advantage.
Good analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with different departments.
Proactive, responsible, detail-oriented and a good team player.
Able to work independently, multitask and take on new challenges.
Able to travel when required.
