Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Site Engineer/Project Engineer for a contract assignment. Initial work location is Klang Valley, with mobilization to Port Dickson for the project site.

The role requires 3–4 years of relevant experience, a degree in civil/ME/EE engineering or construction management, and strong supervision and communication skills. Willingness to travel and relocate is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or diploma in civil/ME/EE engineering or construction management.
• 3-4 years in site/project engineering within construction.
• Experience in data center, industrial, or large-scale projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily site construction activities per drawings and schedules.
• Monitor contractor performance to achieve milestones safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate with consultants, PMs, engineers and site teams to resolve issues.

Location: Klang Valley (Initial Assignment) to Port Dickson (Project Site)
Industry: Data Center Construction
Employment Type: Contract / Project-Based
Working Hours: Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily site construction activities to ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance to ensure project milestones are achieved safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate with consultants, project managers, engineers, and site teams to resolve technical and construction-related issues.
• Review construction drawings, method statements, and work procedures to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor work progress, quality, and safety compliance.
• Track project schedules and assist in identifying and mitigating potential delays.
• Prepare site reports, progress updates, inspection records, and project documentation.
• Ensure proper implementation of quality control procedures and construction best practices.
• Attend site meetings and provide technical support throughout project execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3-4 years of experience as a Site Engineer, Project Engineer, or similar role within construction projects.
• Experience in data center, industrial, commercial, or large-scale construction projects is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, site supervision, and project coordination.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Strong communication, leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project documentation management.
• Willing to travel and relocate based on project requirements.

Additional Information

• Immediate starters or candidates with up to 1 month's notice period are preferred.
• Initial assignment will be based in Klang Valley.
• Mobilization to Port Dickson is expected in November/December 2026.
• Project duration is estimated at 2-3 years.
