Job summary

CA Construction Sdn Bhd. is seeking a site/project engineer to supervise daily construction activities, ensuring alignment with drawings and specifications. You will coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, while maintaining meticulous site records and progress reports.

You will read and interpret construction drawings, support planning, and assist with measurements and claims. Proactive problem-solving and independent work style are essential for meeting project

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of construction/project engineering experience.
• Able to read and interpret drawings and technical documents.
• Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities and ensure works follow drawings and specs.
• Plan and coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Maintain site records, daily reports and progress documentation.
• Assist in measurements, claims and variation works for billing.

Key responsibilities

1. Site Supervision

• Supervise daily construction activities.
• Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor subcontractors and workers’ performance.
• Coordinate site manpower, machinery, and materials.

2. Planning & Coordination

• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Attend site meetings and technical discussions.
• Resolve site issues and construction conflicts.
• Assist Project Manager in planning work sequences and schedules.

3. Documentation

• Maintain site records and daily reports.
• Prepare work progress reports.
• Record site instructions, variation works, and technical queries.
• Assist in preparing as-built drawings and handover documents.

4. Measurement & Claims

• Verify work done on site.
• Assist with progress claims and subcontractor valuations.
• Measure completed works for billing purposes.
• Track material consumption and wastage.

About you

Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.

Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in construction/project engineering.

Good understanding of construction methods, site operations and project coordination.

Able to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.

Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.

Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.

Willing to work at project sites and travel when required.

Added Advantage

Experience in the construction industry, particularly building or civil construction.

Familiarity with AutoCAD or other relevant technical software.

EPF, SOCSO & EIS.
