Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a quality engineer to liaise with customers on new projects and ensure timely sample approvals before mass production. You will coordinate with internal departments and provide engineering support for product and process design, ensuring quality standards while controlling costs.

The role requires a degree in a related field and at least 3 years in the plastics injection industry, with strong knowledge of 8D, MSA, APQP, FMEA, SPC, and the 7QC tools.

Qualifications

• Degree in a related field is required.
• At least 3 years' experience in the plastic injection industry.
• Strong knowledge of 8D problem-solving, MSA, APQP, FMEA, SPC, and 7QC tools.
• Good problem-solving and quality-control skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with customers on new project activities before mass production.
• Ensure timely approval samples and PPAP submissions.
• Provide quality engineering support for assigned projects and products.
• Coordinate with internal departments on tooling, production, and quality.
• Maintain calibration of monitoring and measuring devices.

• To liaise with customers on new project, activity, manufacturing, process design development before mass production.
• To ensure the new project information was given promptly to another department.
• To ensure the approval sample is issued on time.
• To handle customer inquiry and co-ordinate with internal department.
• To take corrective action if sample approval is NG.
• To co-ordinate with tooling & production dept on mould testing, repairing & modification.
• Responsible for product, process, test engineering and other engineering technical supports for the assigned project / products.
• Manage, monitor and motivate the cross functional team assigned to the project.
• To carried out measurement task as per customer request.
• Develop and implement production and processing methods & controls to meet quality standards with minimum costs.
• To co-ordinate with department/section regarding project & quality matter.
• Responsible for product, process, test engineering and other engineering technical supports for the assigned project / products.
• To ensure that all monitoring and measuring devices calibration and control are adequately implemented and maintain.
• To monitor on sample submission, mould testing, repairing & modification.
• To liaise with customer for all the new product, activity, manufacturing, process design and development before mass production.
• Develop and implement production and processing methods & controls to meet quality standards with minimum costs.
• To co-ordinate with department/section regarding project & quality matter.
• Responsible for FMEA, Control Plan and APQP before mass production wherever applicable.
• PPAP submission on time for required customers.

Job Qualification

• At least Degree in related field.
• At least 3 years working experience in plastic injection industry.
• Good knowledge in 8D Top, Measurement System Analysis, Advanced Product Quality Control Plan, Failure Mode Effect Analysis, The 7QC Tools and SPC.
• Strong knowledge in quality solving skill.
