Job summary

RoviSys is seeking a Project Planner in Malaysia to plan, manage, and maintain schedules for control systems site installation and commissioning, coordinating with project managers, site staff, vendors and contractors. You will develop schedules with Primavera P6 or MS Project, track critical paths, prepare weekly and monthly reports, and support resource leveling while ensuring on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and maintain detailed project schedules for control systems site installation and commissioning.
• Develop and implement project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Identify and monitor the critical path and coordinate with MEP handovers to minimize impact on deliverables.
• Generate weekly and monthly progress reports, including S-Curves and manpower histograms.
• Assist Project Managers in resource leveling to ensure on-site availability during peak and off-peak periods.
• Represent the company in weekly progress meetings with Main Contractor and clients, providing updates and highlighting risks or delays.

Job description

As a Project Planner at RoviSys, you will be responsible for planning, managing and maintaining the schedule for our control systems site installation and commissioning works. You will work closely with Project Managers, site operation staff, vendors as well as contractors on timeline and technical milestones to ensure sync between RoviSys and the overall project timeline provided by the end Client, ensuring project's critical path and on-time delivery is aligned.

Description of work:

• Work closely with project managers, site operations staff, vendors to create and manage detailed project schedule, focused on the Building Management Systems (BMS) deliverable.
• Develop and implement project schedule using Oracle Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Identify and monitor critical path of the project including liaison with other MEP handovers to ensure minimal impact on our system deliverables.
• Generate weekly and monthly progress reports, including S-Curves and Manpower Histograms which track actual progress against the planned baseline.
• Assist Project Managers in resource levelling to ensure resource allocation is planned on-site during peak and off-peak periods.
• Represent the company in weekly progress meetings with Main Contractor and clients, providing updates on our progress, including highlighting risks or delays.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelors degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field
• Experience with project management software: Oracle Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Possess 1-3 years of planning experience in green-field construction projects
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving skills
